Texas Workforce Commission Partners with Together We Rise

Texas Workforce Commission

Texas Workforce Commission Partners with Foster Love - Together We Rise to help local kids in foster care. Since opening our second brick and mortar location in Austin, TX we’ve been striving to better serve. There are thousands of kids in the foster system in Texas who need support.

Working with the Texas Workforce Commission

The Texas Workforce Commission is a great supporter of giving back to the community. In early August their team came together to decorate and assemble 75 Sweet Cases for kids in foster care.

Ed Serna, Interim Executive Director wrote about the event.

Foster Love - Together We Rise is a local nonprofit supporting children in foster care. Nobody understands togetherness more than TWC employees who, on a daily basis, do compassionate things for others through work and personal actions.

Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to alter someone else’s life.

I want to take the time to recognize our fellow TWC employees who went above and beyond yesterday by working with Foster Love - Together We Rise. They voluntarily gave up their lunch hour to change the way children experience foster care by decorating and packing duffel bags, or “Sweet Cases,” for them.

Thank you for going out of your way to make a difference in a child’s life as they make a difficult transition. I’m sorry that I could not have attended with you all, but I had another commitment that conflicted.

Here’s a link to photos from yesterday’s event.

Keep up the great work that you do.

Great Work Together

Foster Love - Together We Rise continues to expand and it is only possible because of volunteers and great partnerships. We’d like to thank everyone who came out with the Texas Workforce Commission. The children of Texas need hope and support, for that we are humbled.
