Vision Night At The Austin Foster Love Center

Vision Night at the Austin Foster Love Center brought out so many wonderful people. As Together We Rise continues to grow and make a permanent presence in Texas it is important for us to reach out and connect with the community.

What is a Vision Night?

What is a Vision Night, you might be asking yourself. Well, a Vision Night for Together We Rise, is a community event. One that specifically focuses on the future. Our Vision Night centered around the future of the Austin Foster Love Center, what the final building will look like. How we imagine our relationship with the community will grow. What we want to offer the community and what support they may need from us.

If you haven’t had the chance to visit the Austin Foster Love Center, it is currently in it’s infancy. We are working closely with a leading architecture firm to redesign the building and external space into what we envision to be the first Foster Love Center. Which will include therapy alpacas.

How did the Vision Night Go? Great!

The Vision Night went better than we could have hoped for! We spent time with great new friends from the community, ate great snacks, built 10 bikes, and assembled 10 Sweet Cases. It is amazing to see people from all over the greater Austin area come together to learn about Together We Rise and what out future in Austin is going to look like.

All those in attendance agreed that even though the Foster Love Center is still in its initial stages, the need in foster care remains. It was an amazing night of storytelling and serving alongside new friends and supporters of TWR.

The ten bikes benefitted foster youth attending The University of Texas, Austin. While the 10 Sweet Cases went to a local foster family agency.
