Giving Back to the Community with Macy’s

Giving Back to the Community

Giving back to the community with Macy’s team in Brea, CA. We are fortunate to have the support of so many corporations who care about their community. Macy’s is an iconic brand and their store is still the flagship of the local Brea Mall.

Why Macy’s Invests in Giving Back to the Community?

Macy’s has a rich history of serving their community. Their website states, “Macy’s is dedicated to making life shine brighter through service to our customers, our colleagues and our communities. We celebrate together during special occasions and show up during times of need. (Macy’s) We create and share joy during the holidays. We are proud to be an integral part of the local communities we serve as an employer, as a hub for both connection and commerce, and as a responsible corporate citizen.”

Team Building for Good

Employees at Macy’s Brea came together on July 16th to assemble playhouses for local youth in foster care. It was a beautiful affair! Employees built, painted, and personally decorated two playhouses. This marks the first playhouse team build in Foster Love - Together We Rise history.

The team took pride in making sure that the playhouses were built sturdily and decorated cutely. The hardest part of the entire day was loading the playhouses on the delivery truck.

Our agency partners Crittenton Services for Children and Families, and Olive Crest benefited from this donation. Both agencies were so grateful to receive these custom-built playhouses for their youth. Know that gifts like these go a long way in providing a fun and safe environment for youth to play and interact with one another.

In Conclusion

Foster Love - Together We Rise is so thankful for having a partnership with the Macy’s Brea team. Their commitment to supporting the community is inspiring. We can’t thank them enough!
