Honeycomb partnered with Foster Love - Together We Rise this May for National Foster Care Awareness and Bike Month. We are so grateful for their commitment to kids in care nationwide. Their $50,000 donation will provide bikes to foster youth helping give them freedom disguised as transportation.

Why Honeycomb Cares

Honeycomb cereal has a long history of being a champion of kids, especially tweens and teens. In early advertising for the brand, they often used included bikes in those campaigns. Bikes giving children their first taste of real freedom.

For those who can are a little older, you might remember custom bike license plates Honeycomb created. These bike license plates were popular collectibles for kids in the ‘80s and ‘90s.

The Goal for the Honeycomb Partnership

Honeycomb’s parent company Post describes the community as one of its main values. Post’s website states,

We take pride in the communities where we live and work, and we support them by giving back through food and philanthropic donations and volunteering.

The goal for Honeycomb is to help support kids and help make a difference in the lives of children in foster care. So many of these children miss out on childhood memories. Sadly, transportation is a big issue for foster youth as they age out. A bicycle can be a gift that helps these youths go to school, attend extracurricular activities, and attend part-time jobs.

In conclusion, we want to thank Honeycomb for their generous donation of $50,000. The Honeycomb partnership comes at a needed time, especially during May when we can celebrate both Foster Care Awareness Month and National Bike Month.
