Foster Love - Together We Rise is a non-profit organization with a mission to improve the lives of children in foster care nationwide. We help companies give back to their communities through team-building events and service projects that benefit foster youth. One of our favorite corporate social responsibility projects is Sweet Cases! Sweet Cases are duffle bags full of comfort items, including blankets, stuffed animals, coloring books, crayons, and hygiene kits. On Wednesday, we partnered with Alteria in Phoenix, Arizona to volunteer for foster kids and to complete 120 Sweet Cases, 90 bikes, 90 skateboards, 120 Birthday Boxes, and helmets!

Volunteers were ecstatic to build Sweet Cases together, and everyone was eager to lend a helping hand. Some attendees helped distribute the duffle bags to all the groups, while others handed out the pastels and decorating supplies. Each volunteer took their time to decorate their duffle bag with care, doodling pictures of animals, shapes, and encouraging words. After everyone finished drawing, it was time to fill the Sweet Cases with comfort items!

Once everyone grabbed a blanket, a stuffed animal, coloring book, crayons, and a hygiene kit, they placed them inside their beautifully designed Sweet Case. Some volunteers even gave the teddy bear a hug before putting it in the bag, sending it off with love. Finally, at the end of the event, everyone helped carry the Sweet Cases outside for pickup! Foster Love - Together We Rise connected with a local foster agency, Helen’s Hope Chest, to accept the donation. Each of the Sweet Cases, bikes, skateboards, and Birthday Boxes would go to foster children in need.

We had a wonderful time with the volunteers, and we would love to partner with them again in the future!
